Epitalon 10 mg vial: mixing and syringe units
A 10 mg vial of Epitalon mixed with 1 mL of bacteriostatic water is 10 mg/mL. At that strength 1 mg is 10 units on a U-100 syringe and 10 mg is 100 units. The doses on this page are a reported range, not a label dose.

Each row is one dose, the volume to draw and where that sits on a U-100 insulin syringe. The last three columns show which syringe sizes can hold it in one draw.
| Dose | Volume | Syringe units | 0.3 mL syringe | 0.5 mL syringe | 1 mL syringe |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 mg | 0.10 mL | 10 units | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| 5 mg | 0.50 mL | 50 units | No | Yes | Yes |
| 10 mg | 1.00 mL | 100 units | No | No | Yes |
Source Reported range, not a label dose. Most reports sit at 5 to 10 mg a day in short courses. The human doses on record are far smaller and were given by other routes. Vial math is arithmetic.
How to mix a 10 mg Epitalon vial
- Wash your hands. Wipe the stopper of the Epitalon vial and the water vial with an alcohol swab.
- Draw 1 mL of bacteriostatic water into a syringe.
- Push the needle through the stopper of the peptide vial and let the water run slowly down the glass, not straight onto the powder.
- Swirl the vial gently until the powder is gone. Do not shake it.
- Write the date and 10 mg/mL on the vial, then put it in the fridge.
If you add a different amount of water
More water makes each dose a bigger, easier draw. Less water makes it smaller. The milligrams in the vial do not change.
| Water added | Concentration | 1 mg | 5 mg | 10 mg |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 mL | 10 mg/mL | 10 units | 50 units | 100 units |
| 2 mL | 5 mg/mL | 20 units | 100 units | 200 units |
| 3 mL | 3.3333 mg/mL | 30 units | 150 units | 300 units |
The marked row is the amount used in the chart above. Red cells are draws under 5 units, which are hard to read, or over 100 units, which one 1 mL syringe cannot hold.
How many doses are in the vial
| Dose | Whole doses in a 10 mg vial | At once daily |
|---|---|---|
| 1 mg | 10 doses | 10 days |
| 5 mg | 2 doses | 2 days |
| 10 mg | 1 dose | 1 day |
Epitalon 10 mg vial questions
How many units is 1 mg of Epitalon from a 10 mg vial?
With 1 mL of bacteriostatic water the vial is 10 mg/mL. 1 mg is 0.10 mL, which is 10 units on a U-100 syringe.
How many units is 5 mg of Epitalon from a 10 mg vial?
With 1 mL of bacteriostatic water the vial is 10 mg/mL. 5 mg is 0.50 mL, which is 50 units on a U-100 syringe.
How many units is 10 mg of Epitalon from a 10 mg vial?
With 1 mL of bacteriostatic water the vial is 10 mg/mL. 10 mg is 1.00 mL, which is 100 units on a U-100 syringe.
How much bacteriostatic water goes in a 10 mg Epitalon vial?
1 mL is the amount used on this page. It gives 10 mg/mL and puts the doses at 10, 50, 100 units. Any amount works as long as the math is redone for it.
What if I added 2 mL instead of 1 mL?
The vial would be 5 mg/mL instead of 10 mg/mL, so 1 mg would be 20 units instead of 10. The dose in the syringe is the same; only the volume changes.
How many doses are in a 10 mg Epitalon vial?
Whole doses in one vial: 10 at 1 mg, 2 at 5 mg, 1 at 10 mg.
