Kisspeptin-10 dosage: chart, reported range and vial math
The range reported for kisspeptin-10 is 100 to 500 mcg per injection, one to three times a week. Human studies dosed it by body weight, mostly through a vein or a pump, and steady dosing stopped working within days. No kisspeptin product is approved in the US or Canada.

How to mix a Kisspeptin-10 vial
These steps are for the 5 mg vial picked in the chart. Change the size there and the amounts here change with it.
- Wash your hands. Wipe the stopper of the peptide vial and the water vial with an alcohol swab.
- Draw 3 mL of bacteriostatic water into a syringe.
- Push the needle through the stopper of the peptide vial and let the water run slowly down the glass, not straight onto the powder.
- Swirl the vial gently until the powder is gone. Do not shake it.
- Write the date and 1.6667 mg/mL on the vial, then put it in the fridge.

| 5 mg vial | 3 mL | 1.6667 mg/mL |
What Kisspeptin-10 is
Kisspeptin-10 is the shortest kisspeptin fragment with full activity. Kisspeptins make the brain release GnRH, which raises LH and FSH. Several human studies used the longer form, kisspeptin-54, the main form circulating in humans; rows below say which form was given. [1]
Other names: KP-10, Kp-10, kisspeptin 112-121, metastin 45-54.
How it has been given to people: intravenous bolus or infusion and subcutaneous bolus or pump infusion in research studies; kisspeptin-54 has also been given as a nasal spray.
What to know before reading a dose
- No approved product in the US or Canada. Every dose here is a research dose given under supervision, most of them through an intravenous line or a pump.
- Two different peptides share the name. The IVF, sexual-desire and nasal-spray studies used kisspeptin-54. Do not carry those doses over to kisspeptin-10.
- Steady or frequent dosing can stop working: 5 days of continuous kisspeptin-10 infusion left LH no higher than placebo [3], and twice-daily kisspeptin-54 lost most of its effect within 2 weeks [7].
- In healthy women in the follicular phase, kisspeptin-10 had no effect on LH or FSH by any route tested, including subcutaneous injection [2].
- FDA lists kisspeptin-10 in Category 2 of its 503A compounding list, the category for substances with significant safety risks [13], [14].
- WADA: kisspeptin and its agonist analogues are on the 2026 Prohibited List as testosterone-stimulating peptides in males [12].
- Health Canada has seized unauthorized vials sold as kisspeptin and kisspeptin-10 [15], [16].

What the evidence shows
Each finding is tagged by the kind of study it comes from. Human trials are listed first.
Randomized human trial
Kisspeptin-54, not kisspeptin-10: in a crossover trial in 32 women with hypoactive sexual desire disorder, a 75-minute intravenous infusion changed brain responses to erotic videos and attractive faces. The main outcome was brain imaging, not a change in desire in daily life. [9]
Randomized human trial
Kisspeptin-54, not kisspeptin-10: in a crossover trial in 32 men with hypoactive sexual desire disorder, the same infusion changed brain responses to sexual videos and raised penile tumescence by up to 56% more than placebo. [10]
Randomized human trial
Kisspeptin-54, not kisspeptin-10: a nasal spray dose raised LH in healthy men, healthy women and women with hypothalamic amenorrhoea. [11]
Small human study
Kisspeptin-10: in healthy men a single intravenous bolus raised LH within 30 minutes, more as the dose went up to 1 mcg/kg. [1]
Small human study
Kisspeptin-10: a 22.5-hour intravenous infusion in 4 healthy men raised LH and testosterone. [1]
Small human study
Kisspeptin-10: no effect on LH or FSH in healthy women in the follicular phase by any route tested, including subcutaneous injection. It did work in men and in women just before ovulation. [2]
Small human study
Kisspeptin-10: after 5 days of continuous subcutaneous infusion in healthy men, testosterone was still raised but LH and FSH were no different from vehicle. [3]
Small human study
Kisspeptin-10: 8-hour subcutaneous infusions each day kept LH raised through 12 days in healthy men. [3]
Small human study
Kisspeptin-10: an 11-hour intravenous infusion raised LH and testosterone in 4 men with type 2 diabetes and low testosterone. The authors call it proof of concept. [4]
Small human study
Kisspeptin-10: a 12-hour intravenous infusion raised LH, FSH and estradiol in 2 women whose periods had stopped because of high prolactin. [5]
Small human study
Kisspeptin-54, not kisspeptin-10: plasma half-life was 27.6 minutes in 6 men after a 90-minute intravenous infusion. [6]
Small human study
Kisspeptin-54, not kisspeptin-10: twice-daily injections in women with hypothalamic amenorrhea raised LH strongly on day 1 but the response had largely gone by day 14. [7]
Small human study
Kisspeptin-54, not kisspeptin-10: a single subcutaneous injection triggered egg maturation in women having IVF; the clinical pregnancy rate was 23% (12 of 53). [8]
Side effects and warnings
Reported in human studies or on a label:
- Kisspeptin-10: in the 12-hour infusion study in 2 women, no side effects were seen. This is a very small, short study. [5]
- Kisspeptin-54: no adverse effects were reported after a single 75-minute infusion in the trial in women with low sexual desire. [9]
- Kisspeptin-54 nasal spray: no side effects or adverse events in the single-dose study. [11]
- FDA says it has little or no safety information for compounded kisspeptin-10 by the proposed routes and cannot tell whether it would cause harm. [13]
- FDA also names a risk of immune reactions and of peptide impurities in compounded kisspeptin-10. [13]
Kisspeptin-10 has no approved label in the US or Canada for this use, so there is no official list of who should not use it, no interaction list and no missed-dose rule.
Storage
Keep an unmixed vial the way its label says. Once it is mixed, keep it in the fridge, do not freeze it, and write the mixing date on the vial.

Looked for and not found
- Human half-life of kisspeptin-10: not stated in any abstract or full text opened. The 27.6-minute figure in the literature is for kisspeptin-54 [6].
- No approved product or label, so no official dose, contraindications, interaction list or storage instructions.
- No human study of kisspeptin-10 given as a once-daily or few-times-a-week subcutaneous injection over weeks was found. The only repeated subcutaneous kisspeptin-10 data are pump infusions over 5 and 12 days in healthy men [3].
- No trial of kisspeptin-10 for low sexual desire was found. The two sexual-desire trials gave kisspeptin-54 by intravenous infusion [9], [10].
- No kisspeptin-10 study longer than 12 days was found, so there is no long-term safety record.
