IGF-1 LR3 1 mg vial: mixing and syringe units
A 1 mg vial of IGF-1 LR3 mixed with 3 mL of bacteriostatic water is 0.3333 mg/mL. At that strength 20 mcg is 6 units on a U-100 syringe and 100 mcg is 30 units. The doses on this page are a reported range, not a label dose.

Each row is one dose, the volume to draw and where that sits on a U-100 insulin syringe. The last three columns show which syringe sizes can hold it in one draw.
| Dose | Volume | Syringe units | 0.3 mL syringe | 0.5 mL syringe | 1 mL syringe |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 20 mcg | 0.06 mL | 6 units | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| 40 mcg | 0.12 mL | 12 units | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| 100 mcg | 0.30 mL | 30 units | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Source Reported range, not a label dose. Reports describe starting at 20 to 40 mcg, in 4 to 6 week cycles. No human study has been published. Vial math is arithmetic.
How to mix a 1 mg IGF-1 LR3 vial
- Wash your hands. Wipe the stopper of the IGF-1 LR3 vial and the water vial with an alcohol swab.
- Draw 3 mL of bacteriostatic water into a syringe.
- Push the needle through the stopper of the peptide vial and let the water run slowly down the glass, not straight onto the powder.
- Swirl the vial gently until the powder is gone. Do not shake it.
- Write the date and 0.3333 mg/mL on the vial, then put it in the fridge.
If you add a different amount of water
More water makes each dose a bigger, easier draw. Less water makes it smaller. The milligrams in the vial do not change.
| Water added | Concentration | 20 mcg | 40 mcg | 100 mcg |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 mL | 1 mg/mL | 2 units | 4 units | 10 units |
| 2 mL | 0.5 mg/mL | 4 units | 8 units | 20 units |
| 3 mL | 0.3333 mg/mL | 6 units | 12 units | 30 units |
The marked row is the amount used in the chart above. Red cells are draws under 5 units, which are hard to read, or over 100 units, which one 1 mL syringe cannot hold.
How many doses are in the vial
| Dose | Whole doses in a 1 mg vial | At once daily |
|---|---|---|
| 20 mcg | 50 doses | 50 days |
| 40 mcg | 25 doses | 25 days |
| 100 mcg | 10 doses | 10 days |
IGF-1 LR3 1 mg vial questions
How many units is 20 mcg of IGF-1 LR3 from a 1 mg vial?
With 3 mL of bacteriostatic water the vial is 0.3333 mg/mL. 20 mcg is 0.06 mL, which is 6 units on a U-100 syringe.
How many units is 40 mcg of IGF-1 LR3 from a 1 mg vial?
With 3 mL of bacteriostatic water the vial is 0.3333 mg/mL. 40 mcg is 0.12 mL, which is 12 units on a U-100 syringe.
How many units is 100 mcg of IGF-1 LR3 from a 1 mg vial?
With 3 mL of bacteriostatic water the vial is 0.3333 mg/mL. 100 mcg is 0.30 mL, which is 30 units on a U-100 syringe.
How much bacteriostatic water goes in a 1 mg IGF-1 LR3 vial?
3 mL is the amount used on this page. It gives 0.3333 mg/mL and puts the doses at 6, 12, 30 units. Any amount works as long as the math is redone for it.
What if I added 1 mL instead of 3 mL?
The vial would be 1 mg/mL instead of 0.3333 mg/mL, so 20 mcg would be 2 units instead of 6. The dose in the syringe is the same; only the volume changes.
How many doses are in a 1 mg IGF-1 LR3 vial?
Whole doses in one vial: 50 at 20 mcg, 25 at 40 mcg, 10 at 100 mcg.
