What is known about each one

PT-141 (bremelanotide)

US Approved for one use Canada Not authorized

PT-141 (bremelanotide) is injected under the skin as needed, not daily. The Vyleesi label dose is 1.75 mg at least 45 minutes before, with no more than one dose in 24 hours and no more than 8 a month. It is approved in the US for premenopausal women only, and not authorized in Canada.

Kisspeptin-10

The range reported for kisspeptin-10 is 100 to 500 mcg per injection, one to three times a week. Human studies dosed it by body weight, mostly through a vein or a pump, and steady dosing stopped working within days. No kisspeptin product is approved in the US or Canada.

Gonadorelin

The amounts reported for gonadorelin are 100 to 200 mcg two or three times a week. The human label dose is very different: a 5 to 20 mcg pulse every 90 minutes from a pump. No approved human gonadorelin product is on sale in the US or Canada.

Testagen

No published study has given Testagen to people, so there is no human dose. The 1 to 2 mg a day for 10 to 30 days passed around online comes from sellers and users, not from a trial. The only animal work is in birds. It is not approved in the US or Canada.

HCG

The FDA label for Novarel lists 500 to 1,000 USP units three times a week for three weeks, then twice a week, or 4,000 units three times a week, for male hypogonadotropic hypogonadism. To trigger ovulation it is 5,000 to 10,000 units once. HCG is an approved prescription drug in the US and Canada.

The FDA label for Menopur starts women in an assisted reproduction cycle at 225 IU a day under the skin, adjusts by up to 150 IU at a time, and caps it at 450 IU a day for up to 20 days. The label has no dose for men. Menotropins is an approved prescription drug in the US and Canada.
